Kanye West makes his first USA presidential campaign appearance in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Kanye West withdrew his petition to appear as a presidential candidate on New Jersey's ballot, according to an email chain between a judge and what appears to be the rapper's campaign email address.

The rapper is also trying to get on ballots in swing state OH, as well as Arkansas and West Virginia.

According to TMZ, the rapper's representatives only just made the Arkansas deadline with 15 minutes to spare as they submitted petitions to get his name on the ballot.

Two people aiding Kanye West's fledgling presidential campaign have links to Republican Party politics, The Intelligencer reports. In order to make it on the ballot in Ohio, Kanye needs approximately 5,000 signatures.

According to TMZ, the rapper listed Tidball as his vice on the presidential ballot in Arkansas, a state in the USA, on Monday.

Although he checked Arkansas off his list Monday, Kanye missed Kansas. and we're told there's no way he will be listed on the ballot now. A formal complaint was filed in New Jersey last week challenging the signatures he submitted to appear on that state's ballot. He had held rallies in Florida, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Texas. The emotional display prompted speculation about his psychological health while his wife, reality television star Kim Kardashian West, posted a video discussing his struggle with bipolar disorder.

In fact, as Weigel notes, West already isn't going to be on the ballot in states with more than 200 electoral votes.
