"This track has been a attractive release of emotions for me during this time", Sam Smith said in a statement.

"My Oasis" comes following Smith's decision back in March to postpone and rename their third studio album.

Following the postponement, Smith had promised fans he would drop other songs in the course of the year while he continues work on the album. The song follows "I'm Ready" featuring Demi Lovato and "To Die For", which was also the original title of the entire project.

Since the release of their 2014 debut album, In The Lonely Hour, Smith has sold over 25 million adjusted albums worldwide.

"This track has been a handsome release of emotions for me during this time", Smith said in a statement. "But until then I am still going to bring out some new music over the next few months, which I'm incredibly excited about".

Featuring Nigerian singer Burna Boy, Sam's new single "My Oasis" dropped on Friday (31 July), delivering fans the flawless sultry summer mid-tempo number to soundtrack heatwave now gripping Britain.
