Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl trailer: Janhvi Kapoor Flies High

Janhvi Kapoor's innocence really supports her character but we hope to see if the determination of Gunjan Saxena also shines through when the film finally arrives on Netflix on August 12.

The album features singers such as Arijit Singh, Jyoti Nooran, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sukhwinder Singh, Nakash Aziz and Armaan Malik.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. The Kargil Girl will show the hard yet inspiring story of Indian Air Force Pilot Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena who defied all problems to become the first Indian women in combat during the 1999 Kargil War and from the trailer, it can be assumed that the movie will be quite intriguing.

Netflix acquired the distribution rights and will stream the film worldwide.

Akshay Kumar was among the first few actors to share the trailer of the movie. Following the launch of the teaser, former IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena had penned a note praising actress Janhvi Kapoor, saying that the teaser brought back memories. In the trailer, we see how Gunjan faces rejections since childhood when she confesses her dream of joining the military and become the Indian Air Force Pilot.

Further, in the trailer we see Gunjan being the subject of discrimination for being a lone girl in the airforce. As the wind beneath her wings, Pankaj encourages her to pursue her dreams and tells her in one important scene in the trailer, "Whether a woman or a man fly the plane, they are called pilots". "To the real hero, Gunjan Saxena - thank you for inspiring many to chase their dreams with the same courage and soar higher!" Her bravery and rescue missions for the Indian Air Force during the 1999 Kargil War.
