Sushant Singh Rajput's death case has been one of the hot topics of discussions and each day is coming up with a new twist.

In response Mumbai Police, who strongly denied the father's claims that they had failed to act after being allegedly warned of danger to Mr Rajput's life back in February, said there is no evidence, at this point, to suggest financial irregularities on Ms Chakraborty's part.

Citing an ongoing Supreme Court hearing on her petition, Rhea had requested ED to defer her questioning in the matter, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde said earlier today.

On Wednesday and Thursday, they interrogated Samuel Miranda, a member of Sushant's house staff.

Actress Rhea Chakraborty, accused of abetting Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, appeared in the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday.

The CBI has taken over investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput death case from the Bihar Police after re-registering an FIR of alleged criminal conspiracy and abetment to suicide against his rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, officials said Thursday.

Patna Police had registered an FIR under various sections of the IPC related to alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating and abetment to suicide among others on his complaint against Rajput's friend Rhea Chakraborty.

Rajput, aged 34, was found hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14 and since then the Mumbai Police has been probing the case keeping in mind various angles.

At the time of filing this report, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which also registered a money laundering probe into the death of Sushant, is questioning Rhea at its Mumbai office.

Mumbai Police also said the question of whether their Bihar colleagues had jurisdiction in this case - when the alleged crime happened in Maharashtra - was unclear. Mumbai Police said it was suicide and has questioned over 50 people on allegations he was depressed and felt side-lined because of cu-throat rivalries in the film industry.

On K.K. Singh's complaint, the Bihar Police registered a case against Rhea on July 25. They have since returned.

On his arrival in Mumbai, Tiwari was asked to remain in quarantine till August 15 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and was stamped as quarantined by the BMC.

The BMC on Friday reiterated that all domestic air passengers who arrive in Mumbai will have to home quarantine themselves for 14 days.
