Cameron Diaz found ‘peace’ after retiring from acting

A YouTube live stream in a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on August 5, Wednesday, Cameron Diaz discussed why she chose to leave Hollywood and also about her life. She added: "I finally was taking care of myself".

Cameron Diaz says that she has found "peace" in her soul since quitting Hollywood in 2018.

She made a decision to become "self-sufficient" and confirm she could consider care of herself as an adult, "putting all the items of my existence collectively the way that I wanted it to be set alongside one another, not how other men and women imagined it should go". In a recent conversation with fellow celeb and BFF Gwyneth Paltrow, Diaz shares some details on why she chose to step out of the spotlight.

"I realised I handed off parts of my life to all these other people".

Speaking on the latest episode of Goop Health: The Sessions, Cameron said: "I just decided that I wanted different things out of my life".

When Gwyneth asked what it felt like to leave that past behind, Cameron responded, "Like peace".

Diaz said her intense filming schedule gave her little time for her personal life. "I had to basically take it back and take responsibility for my own life", she said.

The "There's Something About Mary" star also took this opportunity to tell Paltrow, "I would not have become a mother if it wasn't for you". I'd be like: "'I'm not having kids.' And you're like: "'You are having kids, you're getting married, you're having children". She married musician Benji Madden in 2015 and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Raddix, in January.

"I would not have become a mother if it wasn't for you", she told mum-of-two, Paltrow.

And Cameron replied: "Look, I'm never going to say "never". "And then Benji [Madden] and I met each other and we got married pretty much immediately because we both knew that we both had to do it".
