The five-time Grammy victor, Billie Eilish, aka Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, has released her latest single and music video for "my future".

The singer first teased fans with the release on Tuesday (July 28), when she shared an animated image of herself on Instagram, depicting Eilish sitting in a field with her back to the viewer as she stared at a glistening full moon.

I can't seem to focus And you don't seem to notice I'm not here I'm just a mirror You check your complexion To find your reflection's all alone I had to go Can't you hear me?

The song "My Future" is produced by the teen sensation's brother Finneas O'Connell, who often co-writes and produces Eilish's music. The animated video by Andrew Ontario begins with Eilish walking through the forest in the rain.

There is no denial that Billie Eilish's songs touch our deepest cords. It's a song that's really, really personal and special to me.

While the song was written at the beginning of quarantine, the lyrics have aged beautifully: "I know supposedly I'm lonely now (lonely now) / Know I'm supposed to be unhappy / Without someone (someone) / But aren't I someone?" Hope you enjoy this song. We need to keep fighting for what we know is right. For many of us, this time has been about self-discovery, realizing the changes that we want to make in our own lives, and contemplating what our future will look like. The song appears atop Spotify's New Music Friday and Today's Top Hits, while also claiming the #1 position on Apple Music's New Music Daily. In a while, she declares, "I am in love / With my future / can not wait to satisfy her / And I, I am in love / However not with anyone else / Simply wanna get to know myself".
