According to the studio, after the game's launch this coming Sept 4, more content will be added to the game like heroes, villains, missions, story arcs, and many more and all of them will be free of charge. All gameplay progess will carry over from weekend-to-weekend. Four heroes will be up for the challenge - Iron Man, Black Widow, Kamala Khan, and The Hulk - of story missions, HARM challenge rooms, as well as Warzones and Dropzones.

Created to be "a rollercoaster ride of an experience", this part of the beta serves as a primer and entry point to Marvel's Avengers, culminating in a boss battle with Taskmaster. One of these missions also includes a boss fight with Abomination. During this section, you have control of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow and Hulk. While each Super Hero plays true to their unique power sets, each has the flexibility to play differently based on the gear you equip them with and the skills you enable, so no two player's heroes plays in exactly the same way.

Those who link their PS4 and Xbox One accounts to their Square Enix Members and Epic Games account can receive exclusive digital gifts for completing the HARM-room challenges. Once you best the three rooms, you'll earn a Nameplate that carries over to the full retail version of the game.

Finally, the beta will also feature an unspecified amount of Dropzones, which are among the game's shorter, more focused mission types. There will be five Beta War Zones to play, filled to the brim with human and robotic AIM baddies to beat.

War Zones are the massive co-op missions we've seen before. Not only do we get to play the beginning mission which will allow players to make use of each of the main heroes, but we're also getting access to a bunch of other smaller missions allowing us to customize and upgrade each hero.

MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
