Twitch, for their part, seem quite serious about this permanent ban.

For over half a decade, Dr Disrespect had become the face of Twitch for many.

Indeed, it would be extremely unusual for any streamer, let alone a big star like Dr Disrespect, to be permanently banned without at least suspecting the reason why. Having made his exposure bread and butter on Twitch, Dr Disrespect found himself on the receiving end of a temporary ban previous year when he chose to stream from inside the E3 toilets within the Los Angeles Convention Center, earning a slap on the wrist that for other streamers, would have been a full amputation if they'd been busted pulling a stunt like that. It could also be that this won't end up being the permanent ban that people suspect it is. Just a few hours after the news of the ban broke out, Mrs Assassin posted to her Instagram Stories on June 26, thanking the Champions Club and stating that their "love, support, strength, and kindness" has been "overwhelming" and that there's "no one better". As Kain says in an edit to his Forbes article, "It's hard not to have your mind drift to very bad things when we just don't know, well, anything and everyone who does know something won't comment publicly about it because it's so 'sensitive'".

As yet, Beahm has not formally commented on the ban and the streamer has not posted on his social media accounts for two days, it's now unclear why the ban has been imposed. "These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community", Twitch said to Polygon. Although at the time of writing, it's still speculation.

While the letter didn't reveal anything further, it was the first time anyone had heard anything from within Doc's camp.

A former developer of Call of Duty at Activision Blizzard, Beahm coined the Dr Disrespect persona, a loud, brash, over-the-top character who wears a wig and sunglasses and sports a mustache and bulletproof vest while playing games such as Call of Duty and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. However, the rumors are unconfirmed, and Dr Disrespect was not the subject of any public sexual misconduct claims this past week, according to Forbes.

Social media was sent into a frenzy when footage from Doc's last stream was uploaded to YouTube and sparked confusion.

Beahm's final stream was an outlandish and surreal ending, with the streaming personality mumbling, repeating incessantly "we'll get through this" as the stream continued for its final moments. I know it's tough, life's weird right now. We'll get through this okay. "And uh... fuck." The stream then abruptly cut off. At the time of writing, neither Twitch or Dr Disrespect himself have made a formal statement addressing the ban in detail.
