Naya Rivera of Glee fame was laid to rest on Thursday in Los Angeles, two weeks after she accidentally drowned at Lake Piru.

Rivera, 33, was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, north of downtown near Burbank, People reported.

Almost three weeks after the Glee star drowned in a terrible accident in Ventura County's Lake Piru, the document was obtained by multiple media outlets, including The Blast and People magazine.

"The doc listed the cause of death as "drowning" and says Rivera died within a manner of "[minutes]". According to Ventura County authorities, the vendor told investigators that the boy and his mother had been swimming. It was during that time that her son described being helped into the boat by Naya, who boosted him onto the deck from behind. The four-year-old boy was found alone in the boat, with no sign of Rivera, and a five-day search ensued.

A day after the tragic confirmation, Rivera's loved ones commented on their great loss in their first public statement since the actress went missing.

"She mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself", Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said. She had no underlying ailments, and no drugs or alcohol were found in her system.

Rivera, who had experience boating on that lake, played cheerleader Santana Lopez on musical drama Glee for six seasons, from 2009 to 2015.
