Manchester City have agreed to sell winger Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich in a deal worth up to 60 million euros ($67 million), a person familiar with the deal said.

Sane arrived at City from Schalke in a £37 million deal in 2016 and has made 135 appearances in four seasons, scoring 39 goals.

Sane will earn around €22 million a year at Bayern, close to double what City offered during their negotiations.

Both City and Bayern remain in the Champions League, which is due to resume with last-16 second legs in August.

City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed recently that Sane wasn't going to renew his contract at the club, which ends in 2021, and that he was likely to leave at the end of the current campaign.

Sane will sign a five-year deal.

"United have got a real good attacking bunch of young players, add in Sancho, I like the boy Sane".

"He's a young player with incredible potential, a special quality that is hard to find all around the world, but we tried before the injury, we tried again but he rejected it".

"We tried before the injury [and] the surgery and after that and he rejected this offer". But of course we respect (his decision). "I love him so much, he's incredible, I've nothing against him - he wants another adventure".

"I have nothing against him, he's just decided he wants to make another adventure for his career and he doesn't want to stay".
