The often controversial rapper and producer, and his wife Kim Kardashian West, have met with President Donald Trump in the White House multiple times to discuss a range of issues including racism and criminal justice reform.

However, TMZ reported that the West campaign had filed a "Statement of Organization" Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission, stating that a Kanye 2020 committee would serve as principal campaign committee for a West candidacy. Just days after Kanye West announced that he would be running as a third-party candidate, the rapper and former Trump supporter has reportedly dropped out of the race. "We had over 180 people out there today".

The Oklahoma State Election Board tweeted Wednesday that West has qualified in the Sooner State to be on the ballot. But West did continue to squash the doubt surrounding his decision, as he posted a video documenting him registering to vote in Wyoming to his Twitter account, which boasts almost 30 million followers. Everyone has their personal decision about why they make decisions. Running for president has to be one of the hardest things for someone to actually contemplate at that level, ' he continued.

Kramer was brought on to help West get his name on ballots in time for the November election.

The second and more important form would show that he has raised or spent more than $5,000 in campaign activity and would trigger immediate candidacy status under federal campaign finance law.

But the FEC says that deadline has passed in many states including key battlegrounds such as North Carolina and New Hampshire.

West has already missed the deadline to qualify for the ballot in several states, and it's unclear if he is willing or able to collect enough signatures required to qualify in others.

But West has teased presidential runs before, hinting he might run in 2024 if not 2020.
