Trump did not hold a ceremony to mark his signing the bill into law, which came as USA newspapers published excerpts from a new book by his former national security adviser, John Bolton.

Bolton has kept a low profile since parting ways with the administration, refusing to testify to House investigators during Trump's impeachment inquiry, but entered the spotlight recently ahead of the publication of his memoir, titled The Room Where It Happened.

"Nothing Bolton can say will change the fact that Bolton is disgracefully ending his career by putting his own selfish financial interests, through lies and debunked nonsense, over the interests of the country".


He has accused the White House of using national security information as a pretext to censor Bolton.

The book details Trump's dealings with China, Russia, Ukraine, North Korea, Iran, Britain, France and Germany, the publisher said.

"In 2016, I voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton", Bolton told the Telegraph.


Bolton blasts what he sees as Trump's confusion of personal relationships with good foreign relations in his book, which is out June 23 but an advanced copy of which was obtained by ABC News. "Let there be no doubt - he will not be voting for Trump or Biden", Tinsley added.
