Chris Hemsworth on "insanely physical" Hogan role

Aside from the Hulk Hogan biopic, Hemsworth will be returning as the MCU's self-proclaimed strongest Avenger in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, which is due for release on February 11, 2022.

Chris Hemsworth will undergo a big physical transformation to portray Hulk Hogan in an upcoming Netflix movie about the WWE legend.

It was previously reported that rather than encompassing his entire life, the biopic will focus on Hogan's ascent to global fame and becoming a cultural icon in the late 1970-8os.

"I am going to need to put on more dimensions than I have ever before, much more than I wear for Thor", the favorite Hemsworth brother went.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has boosted the profile of several notable actors, with stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans receiving a major career boost due to their distinct roles.

Hemsworth said he was also looking forward to sporting Hogan's iconic moustache.

Speaking to Total Film, the 36-year-old Aussie actor said: "As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical".

Title The Hulksterthe feature film will be directed by Todd Phillips (Joker) and written by Scott Silver and Juan Pollo. In an interview with Men's Health, he debunked the "I don't have time to work out" theory, saying that "it's about prioritising what's important".

Hemsworth explained: "I haven't even seen a script yet. It's sort of in the process now", Hemsworth recently told ScreenRant while promoting his new Netflix movie Extraction. "I'm as intrigued as you are", Hemsworth said. "Instead sources say it will focus on Hogans rise and is described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania".

Named as "the most recognized wrestling star worldwide", Hogan was able to bag six WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
