Wajid Khan, of Sajid-Wajid Fame, Passes Away in Mumbai Hospital

Wajid Khan the popular Bollywood music director from the Sajid-Wajid duo died today at the age of 43 in Mumbai after midnight on 1 June2020 He was experiencing COVID-19, which result in his death. The news was confirmed by singer Sonu Nigam, who posted a picture on Instagram and wrote, "My brother Wajid left us".

Actress Priyanka Chopra tweeted her condolences saying, 'Terrible news. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving.

They have composed music for a number of Bollywood films such as Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger. "You are in my thoughts and prayers", he posted on Twitter. "Can't believe Wajid and I will never speak again", Vishal Dadlani said via Twitter. They had recently composed the actor's single, Bhai Bhai, as well, which Salman had released on Eid.

After getting this sorrowful news from Sonu Nigam everyone tried to confirm it.

As a singer, Wajid recorded many hit songs, including "Do you wanna partner" and "Soni de nakhre" ("Partner"), "Hud hud Dabangg" ("Dabangg"), "Chinta ta chita" ("Rowdy Rathore"), "Tujhe Aksa Beach" ("God Tussi Great Ho") and "Jalwa" ("Wanted"). "May Allah give strength to the family Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7 you've gone too soon".

Wajid also was a judge of the music reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar" and "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012". He added, "It's a huge loss to our fraternity".


As a singer, Wajid Khan began his career with Partner in 2008.

The hit Sajid-Wajid duo is responsible for many blockbuster songs over the past decade.
