None of the FCC documents say anything about the hardware design, but SamMobile is reporting that Samsung is sticking to the physical rotating bezel on the new watches.

Galaxy Watch 2

Past year the Galaxy Active watches were revealed by Samsung just a few days after they appeared at the FCC so we expect them to arrive in the not-to-distant future. With the upcoming model, it looks like the physical rotating bezels may be making a comeback.

With the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Samsung opted for a virtual replacement, which, while it works, is not half as satisfying, due to the need to track the edge of the bezel yourself. Users can perform some software action with it, however, it doesn't have the feel of a physical bezel. The smartwatch has been spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification site.

While the publication claims to have "confirmed" the return of the beloved navigation system after speaking to unnamed inside sources, the Galaxy Watch 2 moniker remains little more than an educated guess, so it should continue to be treated accordingly. Moreover, rumors indicate that Samsung will also release a new titanium watch in the coming models.

If accurate, this information would mean Samsung's second generation Galaxy Watch would pick up where the old one left off.
