Update: Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has been confirmed by THQ Nordic. So far it has been confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One, with PC also likely.

Additionally, the store has listed the game to be released on August 18th, 2020. It was meant to be an introduction to an Amalur universe that would be featured in an MMORPG in development, codenamed Copernicus, before 38 Studios declared bankruptcy.

Back when it first came out, Kingdoms of Amalur was plagued with many smaller technical hiccups, but it was well received overall, thanks in large part to its world building and gameplay. At the time, it was known for having a world created by author R. A. Salvatore, a soundtrack from former Rare composer Grant Kirkhope, and art from Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. "Remastered with stunning visuals and refined gameplay, it's soon time to experience an epic RPG journey and all its DLCs like never before". Nevertheless it has established a small cult following over the years, and THQ Nordic's 2018 acquisition of the brand renewed hope that the series would return.
