Kevin De Bruyne targets 'unbelievable season' with Manchester City

"When I first joined Liverpool in 2012, we had an offer from Fulham and I remember that I sat him down and we talked about it. Jordan didn't want to go and I promised him that day that I will help him become a better player".

He leads the way with the most assists in the Premier League with 16, four more than Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, and he has made more throughballs than anyone else.

But the Liverpool love-in on British television, radio and social media has been too much for many Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea fans to stomach. City managed it last season, when they got 98 points, but they tried twice before and failed.

"We came back from losing the Champions League final and we've come back from finishing second with 97 points, but it's a new challenge to go again when you've been successful".

You could see that in the videos when they were all celebrating.

Where will Liverpool rank amongst the great Premier League teams?

"I'm not getting carried away".

I don't think that will be diminished.

"The potential danger of a second peak of COVID-19 still exists and we need to work together to make sure we don't undo everything that has been achieved as a region during lockdown".

"But "will not stop" does not mean we will win everything; we just want to improve because the other teams are good already and will improve".

"That is what is expected of us and you are always pushing to be the best you can".

"All of us were so delighted because this has been a long march".

"It's a lot to ask them to stay at this extraordinary level but it is our goal to continue to play with this quality".

"That's why it's so important to finish with as many points as we can but also take that stepping stone for next season".
