Dr. Dre's billion dollar fortune is now on the line after his wife, Nicole Young, files for divorce. She cited irreconcilable differences for the split, which comes after 24 years of marriage.

Young filed divorce papers from the Compton-bred icon in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, The Times has confirmed. The six-time Grammy Award victor built his empire as a music producer with Death Row Records and is the founder and chief executive of Aftermath Entertainment.

Sources close to Nicole say she's never signed a prenup which means she's about to put the beats on Dre's massive cash stash that includes almost a billion in assets.

Dr. Dre recently made news as he and Kanye West, along with Snoop Dogg, were seen in the studio together while allegedly working on another version of West's "Jesus is King" album.

The couple share two children together, son Truice, 23, and daughter, Truly, who is 19-years- old.

Dr Dre has four children from previous relationships. Prior to Dre, Nicole Young was married to National Basketball Association point guard Sedale Threatt.

For her part, Young, who is a lawyer by trade, is also seeking spousal support and is being represented by high-power celebrity divorce attorney Samantha Spector.

According to circulating reports, there is said to have been no signed prenuptial agreement in place and the six-time Grammy victor is said by Forbes to be worth an estimated $800 million.
