The band may also come with a Women menstrual cycle feature (the one available in Apple Watch).

As per the rumor mills, the Mi Smart Band 5, which is the global variant will not ship with support for NFC.

As I mentioned earlier, there will be two versions of Mi Band 5. It would, therefore, be a very cheap smart band equipped with a 1.08-inch OLED display, HR sensor for the heartbeat, an autonomy that can go up to 14 days and a guaranteed waterproofness up to 5 ATM. According to Tizen Help, the Mi Band 5 was spotted on the Taiwanese certification website.

TizenHelp doesn't reveal the identity of the leaker (only referring to them as "a member") so these specifications should be taken with a pinch of salt, but if accurate they would be a big step up from the Mi Band 4 - and would be particularly impressive if the new fitness tracker has a similar retail price. PAI turns heart rate data into a single, personal score, showing you how much activity you need to stay healthy. Presuming that the leaked information is correct, of course.

After its launch in China, as it has been happening with previous models, a few months later Xiaomi will put the Mi Band 5 on sale in other markets, including the European one. Moreover, Xiaomi will be the first company to integrate Alexa smart voice assistant on a fitness tracker. The Mi Band 5 was shipped with a separate charging dock. Most of the fitness wearables already have this feature.

Xiaomi had sold tons of Mi Bands over the years, and the Mi Band 5 is expected to be a success, even before its release. The device will ship with a silicone band, nearly certainly.

The global version of Mi Band 5 might be known as Mi Smart band 5 with model number XMSH11HM. Hopefully we'll receive official details from Xiaomi soon, together with a release date.
