Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Earbuds S in India, two weeks after it launched Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 in the country. The wireless earbuds come with a range of 10 metres in an obstacle-free environment and have a battery capacity of 43mAh per earbud. Needless to say, the Redmi Earbuds S will have to compete against the Realme Buds Air Neo that launched in India a day before having a price tag of Rs 2,999. Much like the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, the Earbuds S has been tuned to suit the Indian audience and offer a bass-heavy sound profile. The Redmi Earbuds S comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for better connectivity.

The EarBuds S maybe light on price, but not in features. Being lightweight doesn't mean a compromise on playback time! It takes approximately an hour and a half to charge and is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of battery life (with case).

Earbuds S are IPX4-rated for water resistance and each bud weighs 4.1g. This is very essential, as I remember playing PUBG Mobile on my earlier Redmi earbuds was terrible but thanks to the game mode, this problem is also solved.

For gamers, the earbuds carry a low latency mode meaning the audio lag will be less. Additionally, there is support for voice assistants, environmental noise reduction through the Realtek RTL8763BFR Bluetooth chip, and the ability to use either earphone individually without separately pairing each earphone of the Redmi Earbuds S. For more durability the device has IPX4 sweat & splash-proof. As of now, the Redmi Earbuds S will be sold only in Black colour.

Redmi Earbuds S will retail at an attractive price of Rs. 1,799 in India. The Redmi Earbuds S go on sale for the first time on May 27, i.e. tomorrow, at 12pm (noon), and will be available to buy via Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studio outlets.
