Editor's Note: This article has the United States release date. The director, in fact went live and in a chat before unveiling the trailer said, "As well as many of you, I, too, am a gamer".

This is because the objective of the free film showing is basically to promote Tenet.

That air of dark mystery is what makes Tenet, like most all Nolan-directed flicks, so appealing.

The trailer ends with Nolan announcing that he is bringing the movie to the theatres.

In regard to a specific date for when Christopher Nolan will be showing a full movie in Fortnite, expect it to happen just before July 17th. Urgh! I want this movie in my eyeballs now, damn it! "Use it carefully." It seems like Washington's character has been entrusted with the duty to prevent World War III and save the world. It also hints at "inversion" versus time travel as a part of survival. He's surprised audiences with films that often delve into the very concept of time, whether it's heist men 4 layers deep into someone's subconscious (Inception), astronauts on a quest to save humanity (Interstellar), or soldiers desperately trying to escape an impending attack (Dunkirk).

Remember movies? Fortnite remembers movies. And maybe not even then.

It was filmed across seven countries. Nolan has also claimed that it will hop between genres (it's been described as a "quantum cold war thriller") as much as mind-blowing setpieces.

The all-star cast features John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. The film's debut trailer from previous year gives us serious Inception vibes, so fans of Nolan's 2010 dimension-hopping hit should take notice. Because apparently this film wasn't already appealing enough!
