The Fortnite makers today announced that the start date and time for the next live event has been pushed back by an entire week. The countdown led players to speculate that the event would happen on May 30, but this no longer seems to be the case.

The news comes as Epic Games also announced that the launch of Fortnite season 3 has also been delayed by an entire week.

Fortnite seasons used to last roughly a couple of months, but Chapter 2's first and second seasons were both extended to four - the current season was originally meant to wrap up on May 1st. Season three will now go live on June 11. Also, be sure to lock in appearance choices for Maya, Brutus, TNTina, Meowscles, Skye and Midas, as you won't be able to do this once the season has ended.

Here's when Fortnite The Device event will begin, broken down by time zones.

"There's still time to complete the recently-added Location Domination and Storm The Agency Challenges". Keep in mind that Epic recommends you show up 30 minutes early for the event, since space will be limited and you won't get a second chance to see it in-game!
