The cast of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy will reunite Sunday for "Reunited Apart", Gad's quarantine-friendly chat series on YouTube. Which begs the question, isn't that already a Lord of the Rings reunion?

Now the actor has announced that next up, the Fellowship is reuniting for a Lord of the Rings special this weekend.

Amazon is developing a Lord of the Rings TV series based on Tolkien's books.

Ahead of the release of the full LOTR reunion, Gad put up a teaser trailer on YouTube in order to get fans excited.

The Reunited Apart series started a month ago with a reunion from the cast of The Goonies, including Astin (Mikey), Josh Brolin (Brand), and more. However, on Sunday, May 31, at 9 a.m. P.T., the most iconic reunion so far, is about to happen. Other stars gathering for the event, based on the preview, include a handful of other series fan favorites like Elijah Wood, who played Frodo in all three LORD OF THE RINGS films, Dominic Monaghan (Merry Brandybuck ), Billy Boyd (Pippin Tomó), Orlando Bloom (Legolas) and Ian McKellan (Gandalf), to name a few. That is all that Josh Gad needed to hold a Lord of the Rings reunion! Yes, Gandalf will be a part of the reunion, and everyone was as shocked and surprised about it as we were. On the grounds that being published onto youtube, the video has been watched almost 2 hundred, 000 times and people were going wild inside the remarks.

This wouldn't be the first cast reunion to appear on YouTube but this reunion perhaps takes the cake for the sheer amount of star power featured. So, mark your calendars for the much-awaited Lord of the Rings reunion on Sunday! And it's going to be a big one.

In another screenshot from the Reunited Apart episode, we see director Peter Jackson, actors Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, John Rhys-Davies, Andy Serkis, Liv Tyler Miranda Otto and Karl Urban.
