Redmi K30i 5G With 48MP Quad-Camera Setup Announced: Price And Availability

Redmi has introduced a new smartphone called Redmi K30i 5G in China. The Redmi K30i 5G appears as a diluted variant of the Redmi K30 5G that was released in December. The other three lenses that are available on the K30i 5G are the same ones used on the K30 5G. The phone is as of now is listed on JD.com, with a price tag of 1899 Yuan, and it comes in four color options of white, red, blue, and purple. The phone is fuelled by a battery of 4500mAH sporting around 30W fast charging support. Even its specifications seem to be similar except for the inclusion of a 48MP primary sensor at the rear in the place of a 64MP sensor on its predecessor. It's the only notable difference between the phones, too: it uses a 48 MP main camera versus the 64 MP camera on the K30 5G. However, it could be an affordable 5G smartphone in the market. With the 48MP main sensor, you get an additional 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera.

Redmi K30i 5G SoC has the Snapdragon 765G as well as the K30 5G.


The Redmi K30i 5G flaunts a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display, with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Internals wise, the handset works with the help of the Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage.

A 20-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2 aperture, 27mm lens, 0.8um pixel size) is backed by a 2-megapixel depth camera (f/2.4 aperture, 1.75um pixel size).


Redmi K30i 5G runs on Android 10 with company's custom MIUI 11 running on top of it. The smartphone is up for pre-order while the sales will begin on 2nd June.

The Redmi K30i 5G is priced at 1,899 Yuan (~$262) for the 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage.
