United States wrestler Su Yung said: "I will always love and miss you, my friend".

Posing with her ginger cat, she wrote: "I love you, have a long, happy life. I'm sorry". Lovers and fellow professional wrestlers paid tribute to the large title on social media, remembering her as a fierce and proficient athlete in addition to a type-hearted buddy.

Concerns were raised on Friday after Kimura reportedly posted images of self-harm on Twitter along with messages that read: "I don't want to be a human anymore".

I wanted to be loved. Thank you everyone, I love you.

Kimura had been bullied as a child due to growing up half-Japanese, half-Indonesian in Japan.

Japanese professional wrestler Hana Kimura, who recently also appeared in the latest series of Netflix's reality show Terrace House, has passed away.

We deeply pray for Hana Kimura's life. People should be held accountable for the hateful words they use.

WrestleZone sends our deepest condolences to Kimura's family, friends and fans during this tragic time. Kimura, along with her stablemates Jungle Kyona and Konami clinched the Artist of Stardom Championship after beating Mayu Iwatani, Saki Kashima, and Tam Nakano.

After one of the male cast members shrank one of her expensive wrestling costumes, after accidentally mixing it with his clothes and washing it in a washing machine, Kimura was seen yelling at him, "Be more considerate to others", before pulling a cap off his head in an angry outburst.

Kimura, per ESPN, performed at a sold-out card at Madison Square Garden a year ago with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Ring of Honor. Hana had so much potential to be a superstar in wrestling. She was a much bigger star in Japan and was reaching mainstream status. Kyona went with her.

The wrestling promotion released a statement on Twitter following the young star's passing.

Kimura's final match was a time limit draw against Mayu Iwatani in the 2020 Cinderella Tournament on March 24.
