Walt Disney World and SeaWorld Orlando both got the green light on Friday to reopen their theme parks over the next few weeks. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot theme parks were expected to reopen July 15. We now know that the parks will begin a phased reopening on July 11, 2020, and the hotels are going to be on that same schedule.

That means, pending final approval from Gov. Ron DeSantis, SeaWorld Orlando will reopen on June 10 and Walt Disney World Resort will reopen on July 11.

More information on the reopenings can be found on the Disney Parks blog website.

Along with the cancellation of Disney Dining Plan packages, Disney World is also cancelling all existing dining and experience reservations.

To enforce social distancing, Disney World is not selling new theme park tickets or allowing new Disney Resort hotel reservations.

The combination of all these reservation cancelations and suspensions dramatically shakes up the way guests will be able to visit Disney World. Additional details will be shared with these Guests soon. We will resume new ticket sales and hotel reservations after that period of time. Disney Vacation Club resorts in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head, South Carolina, will also open to members and guests starting on June 15. The reopening will be "carefully managed and phased, and includes a wide range of new and enhanced best-practice health, safety and hygiene procedures", according to the press release.
