Patients must register in advance through the CVS website to schedule an appointment. They will be given a test kit and instructions while a CVS Pharmacy team member observes to ensure that the self-swab is completed correctly. After you finish, the test will be sent off to the lab and the results will be available in around three days.

Half a dozen CVS Pharmacy locations in Camden County will begin providing drive-thru tests for COVID-19, following the company's announcement of 45 new screening locations across New Jersey.

"All of the swabbing will take place in the patient vehicle in order to maintain the safety of the patients, as well as those of us in the store", said Amy Winchell, CVS director of retail operations. Starting Friday, May 29th the location at 7000 Butler Pike in Ambler will start offering the testing.

CVS plans to open 15 new test sites throughout SC as part of its effort to establish 1,000 locations across the country by the end of May, the release states.

These new test sites help enable a goal of processing up to 1.5 million tests per month, subject to availability of supplies and lab capacity.

"These new sites will utilize self-swab tests and deliver on the company's commitment to establish 1,000 locations across the country by the end of May", according to a CVS Health news release.

"Opening access to testing to more locations using our drive-thru window represents an important milestone in our response to the pandemic", Merlo said. She covers the City of Atwater and Merced County.
