The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled the AMBER Alert for 9-year-old Alejandro Ripley just before 9 a.m. on Friday. The Miami-Dade Police Department posted a picture of Ripley on their Twitter account Thursday night. She told police she noticed an unknown vehicle was following her and its driver attempted to side-swipe her auto, forcing her to veer onto SW 158th Avenue.

Authorities said the boy had autism and was non-verbal. "The mother is insisting that she does not have any drugs".

"The passenger of the vehicle exits the vehicle, approaches the mother, and demands drugs", Miami-Dade police Detective Angel Rodriguez, according to CBS Miami. She said the suspect snatched her son and her cellphone, according to police, then got back in the auto, which drove away.

The abductor and his companion were driving a blue sedan and were identified by police as two black males, Local10 reported.

Officials described the suspects as two black males - one of which may have been wearing all black clothing and a black bandana over his face, Fox News reported. "He may also have cornrows in his hair".

The body of Alejandro Ripley, 9, was found Friday. Police questioned employees at the Home Depot where Ripley was abducted, as well as the boy's family.

Ripley's body was found floating in a lake at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in the southwest area of Miami-Dade near to where the boy was taken Thursday, according to Local10.

No information has been released on how the young boy died or where he was found at this time.
