Allen County Health Department reports two more confirmed cases of COVID-19

Governor Kim Reynolds announced 419 new cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, bringing the state total to 16,767 confirmed cases.

One person had recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 1456 - 97 per cent of all cases, the Ministry of Health said.

In its latest media release, the Ministry of Health said there were still a total of 1504 confirmed and probable cases in New Zealand, of which 1154 were confirmed cases.


Note: Collin County's health department receives daily COVID-19 test results - positive and negative - from physicians' offices, private labs, hospitals and the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS) through Texas' Department of State Health Services (DSHS). These cases by gender are from Collin County health reports with no explanation for the difference between reported and listed cases.

New cases jumped to 402 on Friday from 255 Thursday.

The NZ COVID Tracer app has since recorded 354,000 registrations since it was launched on Tuesday night - 30,000 more than the same time yesterday.

"The faster we can do these steps the less likely it is the virus can spread in our communities".

Cabinet will meet tomorrow to assess whether that number can be increased.
