A video released by Netflix early a year ago announced news of the show and revealed the inspiration behind it, Trump's 2018 announcement that he had directed the Department of Defense and the Pentagon to establish a Space Force as the sixth branch of the armed forces.

Lisa Kudrow has been cast in new Netflix series Space Force.

Until then, whet what is probably already an astronomical appetite with this series of images from the show, loosely based on the real-life move towards creating a U.S Space Force. The actor who played Michael Scott in the popular show The Office will essay the head of Space Force, which is the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces.

Maggie is described by Netflix as a woman who 'sublimated parts of herself to her husband's career for two decades'. But as he takes on his biggest challenge, she is growing in a different direction. Netflix clearly didn't skimp on pulling in some of the funniest people working for the series, and with Carell back in the literal boss's seat, the show could be something special and hilarious. The full cast, which was announced alongside a May 29 release date, includes John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake.

Space Force focuses on decorated pilot / four-star general Mark R. Naird (Carell) who dreams of running the Air Force one day.

Space Force was not affected by the ongoing coronavirus production shutdown.

I don't know about you lot, but I've bloody missed seeing Steve Carell on my telly.
