Asked if he already felt like a league victor, Sane told radio station Talksport yesterday he wanted to win the trophy legitimately.

You have to remember that Liverpool are top of the league with a 25 point advantage over Manchester City.

Mane has impressed this campaign, netting 14 goals to put the Reds on the brink of their first English league title for 30 years.

The UEFA chief seemingly rubbished such theories, but he admitted the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League could be voided.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane says he will "understand" if the Reds are denied a long-awaited Premier League title due to the coronavirus pandemic. "Theoretically it's not all over, but practically Liverpool are on the verge of it", he added. However, the chances of the league resuming anytime sooner seems bleak and there are possibilities of the league getting suspended.

"But with this situation of [Coronavirus], whatever happens, I will understand".

'But with the situation, people around the world losing family's my dream - but if it's not the case, it's part of life'.

During a live video on Instagram, the 19-year-old was asked who he thought was the best African player, to which he responded with: "There's been a lot of good African players these past years but right now I think it's Mane".

"I hope that we can win it next year", he said regarding a hypothetical cancellation of the championship.
