It's only three days, but if you haven't played Modern Warfare Multiplayer, now's the chance to see what you've missed.

In a blog post, Activision said it decided against releasing Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer as a standalone pack and instead favored the idea of launching additional "classic map experiences" within Modern Warfare over time.

If you like Modern Warfare enough to make it a permanent addition to your library, Activision says that "any items - purchased or earned, player rank, weapon rank, and Battle Pass progression gained in free-to-play Warzone will carry over to the full version of Modern Warfare once purchased".

It appears to be a brand new three lane map coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare soon. If you don't now have Warzone, then be sure to download it soon so that you can play as much as possible.

What are you most looking forward to trying out in the new season of Call of Duty? It's no surprise then that all of those players would check out the Modern Warfare free weekend in hordes. The season updates and changes will also come to Warzone, marking the game mode's first seasonal change. Xbox One and PC owners should get the same offering on April 30th. By the looks of it, these body parts are really similar to the leaked zombie artwork from Black Ops 4, another Call of Duty game that never got the fan-favourite mode.

If you played through the single-player campaign of 2019's Modern Warfare reboot, you'll probably be as surprised as the rest of us to see that Alex is coming back as a playable operator.
