More and more Huawei P40 leaks are bound to come our way since we're inching towards the official launch of this series. The phone will have 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage with support for expandable storage via NanoMemory. Under the hood, the handset will sport Huawei's proprietary processor, the Kirin 990 5G SoC. 8GB of RAM has also been confirmed to be one of the configurations.

The huge display cutout on the front packs an array of sensors, too: Other than a 32MP f/2.2 camera and autofocus, there's an additional lens for improved depth effects and an infrared sensor that will function as an IR-laser-based biometric unlock mechanism.

He claims that it has a 6.58-inch 1200 x 2640 90Hz OLED screen, a Kirin 990 chipset, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 4,200mAh battery, 40W wired charging, 27W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.

The camera setup on the Pro variant will be a Leica Ultra Vision Quad Cam and will comprise of a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 40-megapixel secondary lens, a 12-megapixel, and a fourth ToF sensor.

The battery measures 3,800mAh and can be charged at a maximum of 22.5W - there's no wireless option here. "The smaller P40 is to feature a 6.1" OLED screen with flat edges, a 50MP main camera but without optical image stabilization, a 16MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto with 30x digital zoom and 3x optical zoom. While it has the same big cutout on the front with a 32MP f/2.0 camera and a depth sensor, it loses the biometric authentication. However, the phone will ship with Android 10 and EMUI 10.1.

The first thing to know is that it might not be called the P40 Pro Premium Edition after all, as Roland Quandt (a reliable leaker) has tweeted the name Huawei P40 Pro Plus 5G.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S20 has been out in users' hands for a couple of weeks now, it's about to have some serious competition.
