Even Half-Life: Alyx will arrive in VR, it's nice to see a follow-up of the so-loved series. Are you excited about playing Half-Life: Alyx for yourself, or is the requirement of VR giving you second thoughts? Should Half-Life: Alyx be a great success, we'll likely see Valve dive further into both with more eagerness. The player is cast as Alyx Vance, a supporting character in previous games, who must combat the Combine alongside her father, Eli.

The Half-Life series is finally getting a new entry in the form of a VR exclusive called Half-Life: Alyx. We try to avoid being dogmatic about any game design choice. Those who have never ventured into the Half-Life universe might like to know that all games in the Half-Life Collection are free to play for Steam users, from now until the day Alyx launches. It is set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 but be mistaken as Alyx isn't exactly Half-Life 3, but it is a full-Half-Life game. If you haven't had a chance to play these iconic games, you still have plenty of time to catch up before Half-Life: Alyx launches on March 23.

Unlike the Gordon Freeman-starring Half-Life and Half-Life 2, Alyx won't be a silent protagonist in the new VR game, instead voiced by actress Ozioma Akagha. The news was announced on Valve's official Twitter page. Players will also rummage through shelves to find a healing syringe and some shotgun shells.

Unfortunately, the Valve Index is now sold out in all forms. The game will release on March 23rd, 2020, on compatible VR consoles. Toss a bottle through a window to distract an enemy.

All the game's VR tools and components on the Source 2 engine will be available on the Steam Workshop and Valve's level authoring tool, Hammer, allowing creative members of the community to design and share levels with everyone else.
