The launch of Google Podcasts app comes at a time when people across the globe are working from home to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Which Android apps are carrying malware?

A total of 56 apps were found to contain this threat with 24 specifically aimed at children.

Researchers at Check Point responsibly disclosed their findings to Google. The remaining 32 are utility apps such as cooking apps and translators.

A good step is to check the full list of infected apps at the bottom of Check Point's blog - and if you have any of them, uninstall them.

Yesterday, Apple announced that its App Store has now expanded to new countries.

The malware imitates user actions to automatically click ads and banners without the user's knowledge to generate ads from networks Google's AdMob, AppLovin', Facebook, and Unity, in a bid to earn revenue by committing ad fraud. The malware obfuscates native code to sneak around Google Play Protect detection.

Although Google has improved security measures for the Play Store over the last few years, it still has a ways to go.

David Barnhard, who has been a developer and lawyer for a long time at RevenueCat, said, "Because of such rules, I have a problematic relationship between Apple and the developers, I am grateful to the company for many reasons, but by introducing such rules to applications, the developers are deprived of a large market share". The App Store will deal with the unification course. Players will be able to get a monthly subscription to get more games to play, but it should not be required for each and every game is a separate download.
