Geronimo Allison is staying in the NFC North.

"The #Lions agreed to terms with former #Packers WR Geronimo Allison, and he'll get a 1-year deal for $910K and a $137.5K signing bonus - the max for the veteran minimum".

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Detroit Lions agreed to sign Allison to a one-year deal worth $910,000. Despite increased opportunity in Green Bay, the fifth-year wideout caught just 34 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns in 2019. Allison started a career-high six games and posted a career-high in receptions last season.

The Packers had hoped Allison would fill their No. 2 wide receiver spot, but Allison never seemed to step up.

"Allison spent the last four seasons (2016-19) with the Green Bay Packers after signing with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent out of IL in 2016", the Lions said in a press release. He opened 2018 with a bang, catching 19 passes for 289 yards and a score through the first quarter of the year, but a concussion and a core muscle injury limited him to just one game the rest of the way. He averaged 5.2 yards per target.
