"After we saw Garth and Trisha crash Facebook, we reached out to them to bring this Studio G to a larger audience in a safe and exciting way", CBS Executive Director of Special, Music and Live Events Jack Sussman told CBS News.

"We're seeing how big things can be when we all do them as one", the network said in a statement.

Their last live concert, Inside Studio G, attracted over 5 million viewers - and they're hosting a second episode of Inside Studio G tonight on Facebook Live where viewers can submit their song requests for the CBS special. "They will bring their unique blend of casual style, remarkable chemistry and shared love of music to a television audience, emphasizing the message that 'we're all in this together'". Fans can find out how to make song requests during Brooks' new weekly Facebook Live show, Inside Studio G, on March 30th.

Brooks has been holding regular fan concerts via Facebook Live for the past few years, and last week (March 23), he recruited Yearwood, his wife and musician, to entertain fans trapped at home during the chaos of the coronavirus.

CBS will air the special, "Garth and Trisha: Live!" on Wednesday at 9 p.m.

CBS has stated that there will be minimal crew involved, who will be practicing social distancing, and all will be filmed with "extensive safety precautions" in place.

And this time the show dubbed - Garth & Trisha Live! - will be a primetime special broadcast live on CBS.

Brooks and Yearwood are using the opportunity on CBS to raise money for coronavirus relief efforts, teaming up with the broadcasting company to donate $1 million to charities fighting the pandemic.
