Throughout February and March, governments around the world instruct people to stay home to prevent the spread of the disease. The notification said "Enjoy a good book, on us" and is created to help people pass the time due to the global isolation and lockdown situation in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

And if the Apple freebies aren't available in your region, fret not, as other companies are making their products free during this time of quarantine, such as Audible audiobooks, and a host of video games by various publishers.

The notification redirects to a Free Books page in the Apple Books Store.

If you have it, then tapping on the push notification will open up a selection of free e-books and audiobooks up for grabs on the app.

Apple is offering users in the U.S. Apple depending on the market; There are some classic titles, including the work of Lewis Caroll, Jane Austen and Shakespeare. One such tech giant is Apple, who is also trying its bit to support people at their time of self-isolation by providing Apple Books for free to its users.
