US Airlines Issuing Travel Advisories for South Korea, Italy Due to Coronavirus

Delta Air Lines is reducing flights to South Korea while Hawaiian Airlines will suspend them entirely, as airlines deal with growing concern about the spread of the new virus beyond China.

The airline said it will continue to monitor the situation closely in consultation with the Public Health Agency of Canada, Transport Canada and Global Affairs Canada and will adjust its schedule as appropriate. The overall impact is significant, but we believe it is only for the short term, ' Wong told CGTN.

South Korea's Air Busan announced this week that its cutting service to cities across Asia and Oceania.

After leaving Israel on February 16, the flight attendant then flew to Los Angeles and back to Seoul's Incheon Airport on February 21, before being diagnosed with the coronavirus and entering quarantine, according to the news website. The airline has suspended ticket sales on the route until April 25, with scheduled flights between the two cities being displayed as "unavailable" until then. The airline previously announced that it would suspend flights on its Toronto-Hong Kong route between March 1 to March 27.

A Korean Air flight attendant who worked a number of flights out of Los Angeles International Airport has been identified with coronavirus. Singapore Airlines, hurt by weak demand, has suspended flights to several destinations in the US and Europe.
