Steph Curry Throws Shade at Younger Grizzlies Players Over Iguodala Trade Talk

Memphis is reportedly holding agency in its trade calls for for Iguodala, who's prepared to sit down out the remainder of the season if a deal is not made this week, in keeping with The Athletic. "I can't wait until we find a way to trade him so we can play him, and I can show him what Memphis is about".

The Miami Heat have emerged as a suitor for available Memphis Grizzlies swingman Andre Iguodala, according to Shams Charania of Stadium. The 36-year-old wingman was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies last summer from the Golden State Warriors.

Iguodala has been working out in Los Angeles this season, opting to sit out rather than play for the Grizzlies. He's owed $17.2 million this season - the final year of his contract. Morant and guard De'Anthony Melton both responded on social media with emojis.

Morant fired back with this in response.

Morant took a different approach, not only supporting his teammate Brooks on Twitter, but also lashing out at Igoudala's former teammate Stephen Curry. "I laugh at that type of stuff". If he isn't traded by Thursday, however, the Grizzlies will be tested as to whether they want to continue to eat Iguodala's salary to keep him from going to a contender, or if they ultimately decide to cut ties. Iguodala may be in luck with at least one contending team interested in trading for him, but Memphis players have every right to fell ill will toward him. At the start of the season, they were not expected to make the playoffs, but their young core of Morant, Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr. and veteran center Jonas Valanciunas has helped them move into eighth place in the Western Conference with a 25-25 record.
