General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen said Tuesday that Jones underwent successful surgery after spraining his ankle and suffering a hairline fracture in the first period against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. The news comes as a huge blow to Jones' fantasy owners, as the Jackets No. 1 rearguard is now effectively done for the remainder of the regular season.

Dubois leads the Blue Jackets with 42 points, scoring 17 goals and registering 25 assists. The Arlington, Texas native has tallied 60-198-258 and 168 penalty minutes in 524 career games with the Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators.

Brian Hedger, who covers the Blue Jackets for the Columbus Dispatch, reports that Jones was injured after sliding hard into the Avalanche net in the first period. Jones appeared in his third all-star game earlier this season and has 30 points in 56 games. Center Liam Foudy, 20, was called up from the London of the Ontario Hockey League and made his NHL debut. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, he has represented Canada at several worldwide competitions, including this year's IIHF World Junior Championship, where he picked up 3-1-4 in seven games and helped Canada capture the gold medal.

Zach Werenski was schooled by Brayden Point in overtime of Monday night's matchup between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7:30 p.m.
