Yes, the Duchess of Cambridge really is a high-street fashion fan and proved so today when she stepped out in these rainbow-striped M&S trainers.

Kate Middleton and Prince William enjoyed a rare date night in London on Tuesday, heading to the West End, to watch the performance of Dear Evan Hansen.

The Royal Foundation even set up Give Us A Shout, a free and confidential 24/7 United Kingdom text messaging helpline that supports people in crisis. Kate also learned about ParalympicsGB's plans for the 2020 Games in Tokyo and met with a number of SportsAid athletes, including Amy Holder, Karim Chan, Molly Kingsbury, Emmanuel Thomas and Dom Ogbechie.

Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, attends a SportsAid event at the London Stadium in London. Later he also gave a speech.

"The crucial role that parents and caregivers play in our children's lives can not be underestimated". "For all of you here, you go, and have gone, above and beyond the call of duty; you've committed your time and devotion to nurturing your children's exceptional talents".

"Finally, I know this is an incredibly exciting but daunting time for many of SportsAid's young athletes, so I'd like to wish the best of luck to all those aiming to participate in the Olympic and Paralympic Games this year".

Kate finished off the look with vegan sneakers by Marks and Spencer, a casual ponytail, and the gold disc "Midnight Moon" necklace that's engraved with the initials of her three children and embedded with a trio of tiny diamonds.

"We'll all be cheering you on", she said. She wore a navy blue blazer over a body-hugging dark green knit sweater which she paired with a wide-leg, cropped culotte trousers in a matching green.

Kate's visit was in support of SportsAid, which the duchess has been Patron of since 2013.

Tonight's performance, taking place at the Noël Coward Theatre, is hosted by The Royal Foundation, the umbrella organization for the charities supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
