Dee Snider bashes Jennifer Lopez's Super Bowl halftime show

There was a whole lotta shakin' going on during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night.

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were the talking points of Super Bowl 2020 yesterday as they tore the house down in Miami with their charismatic Halftime Show performance that was a tribute to their Latina roots. They recommended Aerosmith (that executed together with Britney Spears in 2001), Poison, Metallica and also a variety of various other hefty rock or steel musicians would certainly be excellent selections.

Bottom line: Shakira's hips didn't lie. Dressed in a sparkly red midriff-baring outfit, Shakira-who celebrated her 43rd birthday today-launched into "She Wolf" followed by "Empire".

Commenters applauded Lopez for her stance.

Then JLo grabbed a silver cane for Get Right while she was joined by a chorus of male dancers in black leather shorts with canes, and made a slide toward the camera that will be endlessly played in slow-motion replays until the end of time.

Evangelist Franklin Graham was not a fan of Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show featuring Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. A little over halfway through Lopez's set during the latter half of the performance, she brought out an entire choir of children both on stage and out on the field, with her own daughter Emme singing a ballad version of Lopez's 1999 hit "Let's Get Loud".

The Super Bowl halftime show wasn't always a stage for statements beyond that of pure magic, as in the Prince performance in the rain that will never be topped; whatever controversies that occurred in years past (remember Boobgate?) were accidental.

Besides Let's Get Loud, Emme also sang Born in the United States of America with her mother as JLo proudly donned an oversized coat reflecting the Puerto Rican flag.
