Bong Joon-ho's parasite, Memories of Murder, receives criteria releases!

Bong Joon Ho's Best Picture victor "Parasite" and his 2003 film "Memories of Murder" will receive special edition releases as part of the Criterion Collection, the "Parasite" distributor Neon and Criterion announced Thursday.

This landmark victory for foreign film comes as no surprise to most. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity.


Co-written with Jin Gained Han, Parasite tells the darkly comedic story of two households, the poverty-stricken Kims and the opulently rich Parks, who develop into intertwined after the much less lucky household deceives their means into the Parks' day by day lives.

It also picked up best director, best global feature film and best original screenplay.


Each country is allowed to nominate one film for consideration.
