Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded his first career triple double to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 117-104 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In a package featuring a truckload of draft capital and one of the Los Angeles Clippers' leading scorers in Danilo Gallinari, young point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexender was the crown jewel that powered the trade that sent Paul George to Los Angeles.

Gilgeous-Alexander had 20 points, a career high 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in OKC's win. With that, he is also the youngest player in National Basketball Association history to record that same stat line in a single game and passed Shaquille O'Neal as the youngest player with a 20-rebound triple-double in National Basketball Association history.

"Coach had challenged me before the game to fill up the stat sheet more and do more things, " Gilgeous-Alexander said of Thunder head coach Billy Donovan, according to ESPN. Minnesota's Robert Covington added 18 points. But as noted by Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman, where Gallinari really excelled on Monday was getting to the free-throw line. "I was happy with some of the guys".
