First off, it's unclear where the footage originates from.

The person responsible for leaking the video claims that it is an "internal teaser" from "early 2019". On the new game's official website, Counterplay describes Godfall as a "looter-slasher", which implies that you will be collecting more powerful gear and armor as you take down enemies.

So a couple of important things to splice out here.

It's also worth remembering Godfall is a PC as well as a PS5 game - and it's highly likely to be developed using the former.

The exceptionally powerful SSD on the PlayStation 5 offers a new level of detail for each individual object as well as seamless loading of our expansiveness world. Aside from an announcement trailer and a few brief gifs, not much of Godfall has been shown yet, but never fear, because an enterprising Redditor has captured a whopping six seconds of the game.

Now, today's trailer has given us a better look at Counterplay's vision for the game.

What do you think of Godfall based on what little we've seen of it? The usual kind of stuff you would expect when you're dealing with anything related to "console wars", next-generation titles, and just high-profile video games in general.

The Godfall team in their tweet teased that a more detailed look would be coming soon, so let's see what happens then.

Announced last December at The Game Awards, Godfall is set to be the first PlayStation 5 game.
