Officials in OH announced that they found the body of a 14-year-old boy who had been missing since December 20 in the chimney of a house that was undergoing renovations.

Harley was last seen about 7 a.m. December 20 when he left home to go to school, according to the Port Clinton Police Department. Hickman said it appeared Dilly climbed an antenna tower to the roof and entered the chimney.

Authorities say that Dilly slipped in the chimney, shoved his coat and glasses down a flue and then got stuck in the chimney.

"Chief Hickman shouldered the weight of this investigation which has resulted in a tragic outcome for Port Clinton", Yost said in the statement.

Hickman tried not to break down in tears during a press conference on Tuesday where he announced that Dilly was dead. The chimney is blocked between the first and second floors, causing Harley to become trapped, Hickman said.

He was seen on video leaving his home on the 500 block of E. 5th Street at 6.08am. "Since there is a lockbox and anyone can go in and out of the house, we went inside to check the house", said Hickman.

By Monday morning, police has shared on social media that there's was no new information. Dilly was last seen wearing glasses, grey sweatpants, a maroon puffy jacket and black tennis shoes.

An autopsy is now being conducted on Dilly's body.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office canceled a search for the teen early Tuesday, stating only that the child had "been recovered".

An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday, but there is no evidence of foul play, according to Hickman.

Since his disappearance, thousands of flyers have been distributed across the state and country.

"This appears to be an accident, no foul play expected", Hickman said.

¯ K-9 officers did search around the home early during the search for Harley.
