Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf is making headlines in the ongoing season of the T20 league in Australia.

Another Pakistani pace bowler Haris Rauf has made quite an impression on the crowd Down Under with his pace and theatrics while playing for Melbourne Stars, first as a replacement for Dale Steyn and now after Steyn has completed his commitment. The match will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne on Wednesday, January 8 at 1:40 PM IST.

The Sydney side were then carried forward by a n 83-run partnership between skipper Callum Ferguson (35 off 27) and Matthew Gilkes (41 off 35).

Facing the hat-trick delivery, Thunder all-rounder Daniel Sams (0) was found wanting in front of the stumps as Rauf went on a celebratory run along with other players from the home team. Sams was struck on the pads and the umpire had no hesitation to give it out.

Rauf has picked up 13 wickets, including a 5-wicket haul, in 4 matches in the BBL.

Maxwell's ability to bowl three unchanged overs for 19 runs at the start would have delighted the Stars' planners.

Earlier, Haris Rauf created a stir when he came up with a celebration that mimicked throat slitting.

Bowling first, Melbourne bundled Sydney for a low total of 145 riding on Rauf's brilliance with the ball.

Earlier in the day, Afghanistan leggie Rashid once again proved why he is one of the best in the business when it comes to the shortest format of the game as he registered his third career T20 hat-trick in a game between Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers.
