The club will submit an improved bid of €15 million plus add-ons for wantaway Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, reports Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian.

Inter are still pushing hard to get the deal done, but it now appears as though Barca have entered the race for his signature.

He refused to sign on an extension with the club and with his contract set to run out in the summer later this year, a move was on the cards.

If feels like they've said this about 100 times now, but the Italian are adamant we are finally reaching the final stretch of the Christian Eriksen to Inter saga.

"Eriksen is a fantastic player".

The 27-year-old has been a loyal servant to Tottenham over five-and-a-half years but has tarnished his Spurs legacy somewhat over the last six months.

He was included in Tottenham's matchday squad for their 2-1 win over Norwich on Wednesday, coming off the bench shortly after the hour-mark.

Although Inter and Spurs have not agreed on a fee, Eriksen has sorted out personal terms with the Serie A side.

Inter have already completed the signings of Victor Moses and Ashley Young this month.
