What remains to be seen is how Prince Harry and Meghan will be able to use the Sussex Royal Trademark, says Berthelsen.

The Queen said in a statement tonight: 'Following many months of conversations and more recent discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family. After all, even if Harry and Meghan are charting a different course for their own future, the queen seems more than understanding of their desire for a different kind of life.

Prince Harry and Meghan will no longer use their HRH titles and will not receive public funds for royal duties, Buckingham Palace has said. She was wearing camel coats, high necklines and skirts below the knee.

The couple explained how they want to become financially independent from the royal family and set up a second base in North America. In their statement, Harry and Meghan assured everyone that they will continue some of their duties to the crown, which should keep their titles intact.

The palace added it "does not comment" on the details of security arrangements, adding: "There are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly-funded security".

Meghan will remain the Duchess of Sussex.

The couple are dedicated to environmental causes and are looking to develop their charitable foundation as part of a "progressive new role". Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family.

We've entered a new era for the Royal family, pushed along by a couple who demanded something different and got it.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, disgruntled by their treatment in the United Kingdom, are off to North America.

Their announcement caught the royal family by surprise and created a media sensation in both Britain and the wider world.

According to BBC News, the royal accounts said Frogmore Cottage was in "poor condition" before the renovations, which took more then six months to complete a year ago.

Speculation is rife that Meghan and Harry will now live overseas, following reports that staff at their Frogmore Cottage home have been "axed".

The royal engagement explains why Prince Harry stayed in London.

"This isn't 1936. But it's still pretty big". "It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK".

It remained unclear what public funds would be spent on their security.

He'll still be a prince but won't be known as Prince Harry, rather the Duke of Sussex.
